Amazing shows for the whole family to enjoy
Located 45 minutes north of Fontenay-le-Comte, the Puy du Fou Park is the most popular tourist site in the Vendée. Elected five times "Best World Park" in the United States, it is the second largest theme park in France and welcomes more than 2 million visitors every year.
The mystery of La Pérouse
This year, the Vendée Historical Park launches a new creation with "The Mystery of La Pérouse". This new Puy du Fou attraction takes visitors to the high seas from April 7, 2018!
Get ready to relive the tragic epic of explorer La Perouse, who left Brest in 1785 to face the unknown seas of Cape Horn and Alaska.
The reconstitution of an expedition from which none returned promises 20 intense minutes of high drama, plunging visitors into a maritime and scientific voyage on the most dangerous oceans of the world.
Puy du Fou shows
"Cinéscénie," one of the major attractions at the Puy du Fou, is a night-time show that takes place on a stage of forty acres, with nearly 2000 actors and 24,000 costumes! Each year, new features are added to the staging: 3D video projections, scenery and new lighting.
During the day, the park has a multitude of shows going on, all dramatised re-enactments of different periods in history. Each ensures the audience's amazement thanks to the staging of special effects, actors and a host of extras.
Attend the Circus Games from the stands of a Gallo-Roman stadium or watch Viking warriors fighting aboard drakkars aflame. Immerse yourself in the Knights of the Round Table, meeting Merlin and King Arthur...
Between each show, take the time to stroll in the reconstituted villages of the Grand Parc — the mediaeval town, a fort from the year 1000, an 18th century village and another from 1900.
